Singanamala is a village and a mandal in Anantapur District in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.It is one among the 14 Constituencies in Anantapur District.
Geography
Singanamala is located at 14.8000°N 77.7167°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 287 metres (944 ft).
The scenic village lies in a close proximity to Anantapur and is surrounded by regionsof mountainous land.
The village contains a historical temple named the "Sri Durganjaneyaswamy temple". Here the Hanuman idol was installed by sage Sri Vyasaraja Theertha during theVijayanagara emperor Sri Krishnadevaya Period. A Large Number of devotees fromAndhra Pradesh and Karnataka travel to the temple to worship.

History
Previously called Rushya Srunganiamala, this village derives its current name from asage named Rushya Srunga Mahamuni (Son in law of the Great King Dhasaratha) as within the ancient period he is believed have lived within the village: This can be known by the existence of a hill station named the "Rushyasrunguni Konda".
Notable previous inhabitants were the late Mamillapalli Samba Murthy, a freedom fighter. as well as Vadiyampeta Satyamurthy, who was instrumental in the development of Ramaswamy Temple in the Singanamala.
During the reign of King Janamejaya, the King himself visited Dandaka Aranya to visit the sage inhabitants as well as other religious members in order to win the blessings of Lord Vayu Deva. And for such he performed aPooja.
Recently the temple has been renovated
